This beautiful Adelaide family visited my newly updated studio for their newborn photography session, and they were one of the first to experience the new setup. With soft neutral tones, warm textures, and a calm, comfortable layout, the space is designed to make every newborn and family session feel relaxed from the moment you walk in.
We began with family photos, which allowed Mum and Dad to settle in and enjoy those early moments with their baby. Dad is an avid photographer himself, which made this session feel especially meaningful. It’s always an honour when another photographer chooses me to capture their newborn story, and it was so lovely watching him switch off from being behind the camera and simply enjoy holding his new son.
Mum selected a dress from my client wardrobe — a simple, stress-free option that ensures every parent feels confident and comfortable during their photos. The tones of her dress paired beautifully with the studio colours and created a soft, cohesive look for their family portraits.
After the family photographs, we moved into baby-only setups. These included a range of warm, earthy scenes and natural textures that suit newborn photography perfectly. From curled-up poses to simple basket setups, each look highlighted just how tiny and peaceful this baby was in his first days. He settled beautifully, making it easy to capture a variety of newborn images that parents love — classic, timeless, and full of detail.
This Adelaide newborn session was a wonderful way to start in the new studio space. A lovely family, a calm baby, and a chance to document the very beginning of their story together.
