Adelaide Newborn Baby Photographer || Theodore

Theodore

It was so lovely having Theodore and his lovely family in the studio for their first official studio photos. Theodore had a wrapped mini session with sibling photos. Theodores big brother and sister couldn’t have been more loving and proud of their new arrival. Theodore looks adorable in all the photos but I think the bucket shot with Teddy in the bear hat might be my favourite!

How did you announce your pregnancy?

Had my older children hold a custom plaque and took photos.

How did you find out the baby’s gender, before the birth or was it a surprise?

Found out at 15 weeks pregnant.

How did you pick out your baby’s name? Is there a special meaning behind the name?

I loved the name Teddy but wanted a more formal name for documents.

What hospital/birthing centre did you use? What was was your experience like?

Hospital birth, induction, natural labour and no pain relief. Wonderful experience.

What is the one thing you will never forget about the birth of your baby?

When they said his shoulder is stuck. And then see all his hair once he was born.

Do you have any favourite baby shops or baby products?

Take advice and options very lightly and don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself, partner and baby.

Do you have any hints or tips for new mums and dads?

Plan on ordering in and be kind to yourself and each other.

What was the most memorable part of your newborn session?

Watching my three beautiful children together and enjoying themselves. I was just so proud of them.

What are some of your favourite photos from the session?

I love the the teddy bear hat for my little teddy. And the photo of All three of my children.

Why did you decide to have newborn photos taken?

The have the memories to share with family and to look back on.

Why did you choose Megan Macdonald Photography to capture your memories?

We looked around for the photography style and a good price. And upon communication and then when we arrived, Megan was so lovely and welcoming. my children warmed to her straight away, she was friendly, cheerful and made is very welcome and relaxed.

Did you enjoy your experience and would you recommend Megan Macdonald Photography in the future?

We would 100 percent recommend Megan. We cannot wait to get more photos done in the future.

Adelaide Newborn Photography || Welcome Iris

Welcome to the family Baby Iris!

It’s not every day I get to photograph a new addition to the family but I’m pleased to announce my new baby niece Iris! Iris belongs to my hubbies sister Olivia. It’s hard to believe that Olivia was the same size as Iris when I first meet her. These 2 are making me feel very old! Being an Adelaide newborn photographer certainly comes in very handy when new babies to the family arrive and it’s so lovely to create beautiful memories for my loved ones.

Welcome to the family Baby Flynn!

It was so lovely to finally meet my first ever nephew Baby Flynn! Baby Flynn had a bumpy start to life and gave everyone in the family a scare but he could not be any more perfect! I loved capturing these precious moments for my brother in law Jake and his partner Samara. Flynn was so good for his Aunty Meg even though he was a little older than the 2 weeks. Flynn has an amazing crop of hair and is just divine!

Adelaide Baby Photography || Madelyn

Madelyn

Gorgeous Baby Madelyn was so good for her Adelaide newborn photography session that we managed to get through lots of beanbag poses and even got to use 2 different coloured backdrops. I just love the naked newborn photos but not every baby is as happy to be nudie as Madelyn! I think out of all the photos from Madelyn’s newborn photography session the rust backdrop photos are my favourite of her.

How did you find out you were pregnant? Do you have a story to tell?

Toby thought I was acting weird and having weird things happen to me so he suggested to take a test, sure enough I was pregnant. He could tell the signs before I did

How did you announce your pregnancy?

For grand parents we had a mini romper made up announcing they were to be grand parents. Everyone else we shared via Facebook with a pic of us at the footy and a babies out fit ready for the next season.

Did you have any weird cravings or experiences during your pregnancy?

I was renovating a house, buying and selling a house and working two jobs so I didn’t have time I have cravings or anything. Was non stop the entire time.

How did you find out the baby’s gender, before the birth or was it a surprise?

We have a surprise which was to us the best way to do it, loved going through the labour and then finding out. Was so nice and special.

How did you pick out your baby’s name? Is there a special meaning behind the name?

We were sat in the car with our other two kids going through names that we were not going to have as we already had a name picked out when Toby mentioned Madelyn and it stuck with both of us. The other name was never mentioned after that.

What hospital/birthing centre did you use? What was was your experience like?

Went to Lyell McEwin hospital in Elizabeth Vale, they were amazing could not have got any better midwives and doctors. Would go there again and again that’s for sure.

Do you have a story from the birth you would like to share?

My birth was very straightforward so it’s very boring.

What is the one thing you will never forget about the birth of your baby?

When we saw her for the first time and found out she was a girl, I immediately teased Toby for now having 3 girls living with him.

Do you have any keepsakes or heirlooms for the baby?

My mum gave me my bracelet that I wore for the first 3 years of my life and Madelyn will now proudly wear it herself.

What was the most memorable part of your newborn session?

Just seeing how the whole process works and seeing how beautiful our girl looked in all the photos.

What are some of your favourite photos from the session?

One of our favorites is the frog pose, its put together so well and she was so well looked after and it came out great.

Why did you decide to have newborn photos taken?

We wanted some really cute photos of her so young.

Why did you choose Megan Macdonald Photography to capture your memories?

I had seen my friends pictures that were taken by Megan and I fell in love with them so couldn’t go with anyone else.

Did you enjoy your experience and would you recommend Megan Macdonald Photography in the future?

Absolutely loved the experience from start to finish from when we first booked. I could not recommend Megan enough to anyone.
